MLB General Discussion (Official Thread)

7 out of 10 Central teams made the playoffs. None made it out of the Wild Card 3 game series.

Now did a couple of my Ohio teams go down? Yeah. Sure. Whatever. More importantly the Cubs and Cards went down in flames too.

And for that, I’m thankful.

That tells me they feasted on a weak sister in their division because of the format. The Pirates had as much to do with FOUR NL Central teams making the WC round as anyone.

You're all welcome. :pirate:

Upon further review; I kind of like this playoff format.

I think the higher seed hosting all three games of a best of three is a better reward than hosting 3 games in a five-game series.

Now when they get back to selling tickets to these games the lower seed won't like not hosting any so they probably won't keep it.

There are some things to tweak I'm sure but overall, I like the larger field and the consecutive days played.

I wonder about the WC teams getting a 3 game series against a higher seed vs a 1 game vs each other. WC should pay a price, I personally don't want to lose that but I'd be very interested to see this same format with a full season next year.

Ok. The CF going nuts because he hauled a home run back over the fence for a critical out is one thing. Th fat fuck slug of a pitcher that gave up the gopher ball needs to shut the fuck up and get back to the dugout as fast as possible.

This was fucking glorious. I hope the Rays win the whole damn enchilada. They are the only reason I will continue watching baseball this year.

Had it been Yankees v Astros and Dodgers v Braves I wouldn't have watched one second of it - fuck them all!

Go Rays!
