All these years I thought catchers throwing wide of first to avoid hitting the runner was the right thing to do. Now MLB catchers are stupid if they don't all throw to the middle of the bag in the hopes that they hit the runner.

IMO the runner should only be out if they are out of the baseline or make some unnatural motion to get in the way of the ball being caught. If the umps applied a rule correctly with that play, it was incredibly stupid.

I don't know who Big Cat is but that's a crock. There are no guarantees of ever getting a second chance to make a WS run, and the notion that Strasburg's arm would've exploded if they didn't shut him down is baseless.

Talk about some revisionist bullshit 7 years later. I may have to block that guy on general principle.

edit- I will say he toes the line because you know there is someone out there with that opinion. He’s just the guy to make light of it.
