MLB Floating Realignment

The simple move is to take 1 team from the 6 team NL central (Houston) and move them to the 4 team AL west. Then at least you are 3x5 in each league.

due to inter league rules, you need an even number of team in each league

if not, you would have to have at least one inter league series going on at all times.

Contract the league, eliminating two of the following teams: Pittsburgh, Washington or Florida. If Pittsburgh is the one spared, move them to the NL East to give them a fourth team in that division. That leaves 14 teams in each league.

Honestly I'm surprised this hasn't happened yet. If any of the league's clueless cheapskate owners ever realize they can get a slightly bigger revenue sharing check by cannibalizing two teams they'll be gone faster than a Kirk Saarloos fastball.
