give it about 3 or so games and you should do better. Won the first two games 1-0. On my 14th game now and had 22 hits and 15 runs last game. Seems easier to hit a HR than a double though.....

Adjust the difficulty sliders a bit, make hitting harder and AI pitching harder and pitch speed faster, makes hitting HR's alot more challenging (and realistic).

did that already. Turning pitch speed up actually seems easier for me. I can hit the ball coming fast, change-ups make me look silly.

Picked the game up yesterday and have only played a few games, but I do have some intial reactions...

I strike out a ton... in my first two games the opposing catchers had 11 and 12 K's against me.

There were also some problems with the fielding... it just seemed like the fielders would miss easy grounders or take forever to throw the ball and the runner would beat it out. However, these errors are pretty minor and don't ruin the game entirely.

Overall, the game plays well and the realism is great... keep in mind these are just initial reactions. IMO this game could be great next year with some tweaking in different areas in the game but right now I would rate it 8/10

All very much a timing thing. I rented it from Blockbuster a few weeks ago and was angered because, well it was $8 to rent a damn game, WTF? and by the time I got my timing down and started to play well (on rookie) I had to take it back, wasnt going to pay that again.

I downloaded the demo. the game is ok, but not great. I'd say not even good graphics wise. Its old school.

This is a game for hardcore baseball dynasty geeks. Salary arbitration, minor league call ups, trades, inflation rates, budgets, ticket and concession prices.

This game is a headache. Never mind I brought it up.

From reading the bullets in the first link, it sounds like the developers of the game had some pretty good ideas, but just didn't develop them well. Maybe the guys from 2k7 should look for some ideas from here.
