MLB 09: The Show

Bought the game tonight. Haven't really got into it yet but it looks like a lot of fun. It's also pretty challenging which I was hoping for. Have we decided on a start date or is it going to be after the first patch?

I'm giving up on my RTTS centerfielder. Sorry, but batting under .200 isn't fun. This is my third year playing The Show, but this is the first time it isn't fun. I got so fed up that I not only maxed out the hitting sliders, I also lowered the difficulty level. It doesn't matter. This game just doesn't allow hits, especially when a batter's confidence lowers. It's a Catch-22 situation. I can't raise my confidence unless I get hits, and I apparently can't get hits without confidence.

I'm going to start a RTTS pitching career. Maybe that will be enjoyable.

I've had a hard time hitting so far but my 8 year old son is awesome. He puts double digits on the board every game. I'm going to consult with him tonight and figure out how he does it.

Online play has been good for me as well. I've heard some complaints of lag but have not experienced them myself

I played the game a little more today and I'm having an easier time hitting HR than I am singles

I bought the game yesterday and played it last night. My observations are the games end up looking like real games by the end of it 3-2 with 6 or 7 hits a piece. But hitting just doesnt feel right yet. I am sure over time it will get better.

Anyone want to play an online game to see how the lag is?
