How long does it take to play a baseball video game? Would you shorten the schedule from the current 6,342 games a year to like 80? I think it would be cool, but I havent played a baseball game since All Star Baseball for the N64. Intrigued just because our NCAA dynasties are so much fun.

What kind of time frame are we looking at to get this started? I know people will want to get it going, but there is also something to be said for waiting. Last year, the rosters weren't really "finalized" until the second week of the season. Sony couldn't add some rookies until they played in their first game, so the rosters were correct after the first week. However, the update caused a glitch that removed everybody's attire, and that wasn't fixed until the second week.

Do we want to wait that long? Or at least until an update (putting Manny on a team) happens?

I was also reading there were quite a few problems with online play as well, especially early on. Did you guys experience a bunch of lag last year?

I only played one online game last year. It was a day or so before C.C. was traded to Milwaukee. After that trade, I had no interest in baseball for the rest of the season. Anyway, to make a short answer long, no, I didn't have lag in that game.

I probably won't buy this for at least a couple more weeks. Hopefully I can jump in at anytime during the first season.
Alright. I'm full of shit. We got our bonuses this week instead of two weeks from now. Had to go out and get this now before I went and spent all of my money on stuff like tools and paying bills. :tongue2:

I downloaded the demo a few weeks back. I dont think I got a single hit. Anyone else experience this?

I'm just about done with my first month of RTTS. I was drafted by the Nats. Anyway, I'm hitting 3 for 25. I can't hit worth a damn, and I'm on the default difficulty.

Iron how is the game? You look at any of the features yet?
It's a nice looking game. I didn't play much. Just took some batting practice, and did some base running practice. I got thrown out a lot.

I dl'ed the demo a few weeks back and was able to get 2 or 3 hits in 3 innings, but no runs. It took me a little while to get used to pitching too. Lots of walks, but I eventually straightened that out and didn't give up any runs.

I guess the game is cool, but I have no reference, since I haven't played a baseball game since Nintendo.
