Mixed Martial Arts (Official Thread)

I still wish people like Joe Rogan or Darryl Waltrip would get recognition over Herbstreit for the sports emmy for analyst (Herbstreit won multiple times).

I don't even think Herbie is the best at ESPiN.

But Rogan can tell people where your hips should be on chokes and Waltrip can tell you what caused a tire to go down.

It was a good card. Plus the prelims on FS1. Dos Anjos just destroyed Diaz's leg - which is now multiple times his opponent has done that - literally rendering him useless on one leg. He rarely checks those kicks and now it is a perfect road map for beating Diaz. Overeem surprised me, actually Struve surprised me by not using his reach and kicks to attack Overeem. Kudos to Overeem for pounding him. Dos Santos vs Miocic was a great fight. 5 rounds of just utter smashing each other. Both were tired but put on a heck of a show. I thought Miocic won the first two rounds and Dos Santos the next two. I'd have to watch that last round again to see my second opinion of how that finished.

Was glad to see the Cleveland guy do well, he didn't win but I think his stock rose.

@y0yoyoin should've been somewhat happy with the fight....minus the result. I only saw the ending of the 4th & beginning of the 5th...looked like a brawl.

Yes pretty much...was exactly as you said a brawl...you could see the game plan for stipe was to try and take jds down and ground and pound....something stipe is actually great at but hasn't gotten to showcase much so far in his ufc career...he's also never fought more than 3 rounds before so that was interesting to see him go the distance...I think he showed he belongs and I hope he gets another shot at a contender so he can maybe have one more shot at the title

Anyone watched UFC 186? Rampage is back! It wasn't a spectacular match as expected from him. Maybe it's because he hasn't fought elite fighters for several years now. On top of that, he might be facing some charges after he terminated his contract with Bellator without informing his former employers. As far as the main event is concerned, well, reports states that people were leaving before the Johnson - Horiguchi was concluded.
