Unless this is just an off-game (/excuse).

Doubtful. Look at their schedule. The only teams they held to a TD or less were Central Michigan, Southeastern Louisiana, Florida International and Iowa State.

Bro Kansas is getting embarrassed on national TV

With this brutal schedule, I can't see how that would happen:

[pre]
September 1 Central Michigan W 52-7 1-0 (0-0)
September 8 Southeastern Louisiana W 62-0 2-0 (0-0)
September 15 Toledo W 45-13 3-0 (0-0)
September 22 Florida International W 55-3 4-0 (0-0)
October 6 at No. 24 Kansas State W 30-24 5-0 (1-0)
October 13 Baylor W 58-10 6-0 (2-0)
October 20 at Colorado W 19-14 7-0 (3-0)
October 27 at Texas A&M W 19-11 8-0 (4-0)
November 3 Nebraska W 76-39 9-0 (5-0)
November 10 at Oklahoma State W 43-28 10-0 (6-0)
November 17 Iowa State W 45-7 11-0 (7-0)

They'll still use it as an excuse.

Their defense is almost as bad as Nebraska's. Kansas was supposed to have a good CB in Talib, but I have yet to see him do anything helpful. He's lucky the safety stepped up and smashed the Missouri receiver a couple of possesions ago. Would've been a TD.

Because they beat an up & down Kansas State team, beat a Colorado team that SOMEHOW beat Oklahoma, barely got by a Texas A&M team that got spanked by Miami and beat a defensiveless Nebraska team. They're just THAT damn good.
