Mississippi State defensive end Nick Bell died today after a battle with cancer, according to officials at the UAB Medical Center in Birmingham.
Bell, 20, played in State?s first four games of the 2010 season and made starts against Auburn and Georgia. He played in 16 games in his career with the Bulldogs.
MSU coach Dan Mullen told his team about Bell?s death at a team meeting today. Several team members traveled to Birmingham on Monday after his condition worsened.

Yeah well that pretty much fucking sucks. Reminds me of the graduate school colleague I had who died from lung cancer (he was not a smoker or anything). He was only 24 as well.

RIP and prayers to the Bulldog family...this kind of loss is very hard. :sad:

dang, so sad

he was starting for a major college football team just a short while ago (less than 2 months) and all of a sudden is gone from this terrible disease
