You kids stay off my lawn!
I can see clearly now, cataracts are gone.
I can see all obstacles in my way.
Back are the bright colors that made my days
It's gonna be a bright (bright)
Bright (bright) sunshiny day
It's gonna be a bright (bright)
Bright (bright) sunshiny day.

Gratitude for the fine people who made this come true. At a time when my body seems to be in a race to self destruct, along comes something that helps me see WITHOUT glasses or contacts like I did when I was young.

I've spent every day from age nine to 77 3/4 putting glasses on first thing in the morning and taking them off the last thing at night. I've spent the last fifteen years struggling to read road signs until I was damn near on top of them.

Today, as that old TV ad from the sixties went, "Redder reds, bluer blues, checkier checks..." the difference in how I saw colors two weeks ago and today is... well, eye-popping.

To my fellow seniors, if your doctor tells you you have cataracts, do not hesitate. Do not let your fears keep you from seeing clearly again. It's amazingly pain-free and easy.

Not sure that meets the definition of "miracle" but kudos to the medical personnel who made it happen and good for you to be able to see clearly again.

Get ready for a nice, clear view of a Buckeye beatdown in Crappy Valley tomorrow.

I had it done this last July. My cataracts must not have been nearly as bad as cinibuck's; however, I did notice a difference with whiter whites. But like he said it is amazingly pain-free and easy*. It's an outpatient surgery, you walk in and walk out a couple hours later. You are not put you under, you're awake the whole time, but they do numb the eye. They only do one eye at time, I had both eyes done a week apart. Each eye's vision cleared in a day or 2, and you do eye drops (an antibiotic to prevent infection) for 3 weeks after the surgery.

* it's real easy for you, you just literally lay there, the opthamologist and his surgical team do all the work.....
