i really do not get the point of these verbal outbursts by managers in baseball. firstly, because it accomplished absolutely nothing, and secondly because they will most likely be ejected as well. with no positive end result, why even bother?

So they should sit on thier ass and do nothing if the ump makes a bad call?

oh if they want to go complain then thats fine, but they seem like they are more interested in making a scene more than anything else in cases where they end up getting ejected. they accomplish nothing in the process of getting ejected besides looking like a complete assclown and having everybody laugh at them so whats the purpose?

And you originally said you had a problem with the verbal outburst, but now you don't so which is it?

As far as why managers do this, Kruk hit the nail on the head. Entertainment value. He said Pinella entertained the fans with his tirade. Lord knows the Cubs brand of baseball is entertaining no one right now.
