Minny vs tOSU at Indy, B1G Tournament, Thurs 2 pm

Something is just broken with this team, late in games its like they just completely forget how to play basketball.

Id be surprised if they make it past the 2nd round of the tournament at this point.

Yep. I think they peaked too early to be honest. They would have lost their fifth straight against a better team.

Hopefully, with both teams having no rest, this isn’t a problem tomorrow. But there is clearly a coaching issue as well that needs to be addressed.

I wouldnt say they "peaked too early"

It seems like a mental thing, which yea probably ties to a coaching issue at this point. 5 straight games of this is no fluke.

Coaching also was responsible for the peak they reached this year. I personally think that they got too much credit for a few of those wins (e.g., a major player out) and ended up in conversations that didn't fit (e.g., #1 seed, top 5 ranking). Suddenly, everyone is trying to live up to that BS. That needs to stop.

He needs to get his team ready and he needs them to believe in themselves. This looks like an emotional/psychological thing to me. Others here better qualified to speak, but if you look at their eyes, the expressions on their faces, they seem to not be having much fun playing this game anymore. He and they can fix this. A deep run in the NCAA is still possible. This is one of the best college basketball teams in America.

You never ever ever throw the ball into the corner against a press. Two defenders become four with the end line and sideline. They did it three times today. Then Washington made a boneheaded push off unnecessarily when he had a potential breakaway. The bottom line is that they don’t handle the press well. If I had the quicker team I’d press them all game long like Shaka Smart during his VCU days.

Just watched the replay and man do we get streaky anymore. That said, we won a tough game to advance to fight another day and I want revenge on boiler up. I'll take the win and be happy with it.

We certainly don't look as invincible as we did on our run of critical wins but I'll tell you that I'm far from thinking this team is "broken". Even in the losses, we've been right there and with a couple of plays that go differently, we're still on a run and probably a 1 seed. Shit guys, this is a fucking tough conference, easily the best out there this year. Every game is a fight and I'm damn proud of this team despite some moments where you shake your head and wonder how we let teams like this back in it. This is a team that can make a deep run, buy into that. We've got the depth, talent and coaching to have a really fun tourney. That's never guaranteed and anything can happen, but I don't like the negative Nancy shit.

Alright, with that off my chest, let's go beat Purwho. We owe them an L.
