Military Appreciation Game and Vet Tix

matt_thatsme

Ain’t nobody got time for that
I spent the last year deployed, so I didn’t attend any tOSU football games and was only able to stream a couple. I’m definitely planning on attending a couple of games this year.

One of the guys I deployed with mentioned military appreciation games and Vet Tix. Apparently tOSU has one game per season where military members get discounted tickets. There is also an organization (Vet Tix) where vets can request tickets to games.

Does anyone have experience with either of these or information for the upcoming season that they can share?

Vet Tix is awesome. I got tickets for the Rutgers game through them a couple years ago. Extremely easy and simple process. You pay a small fee (for both of my tickets I think I paid 12 bucks).

I'm not sure if there will be anymore there for this season though, they had some for the Cinci game but it was limited to 1 per person. Occasionally you'll see individuals/Corp's donate a bulk amount of tickets though. I've yet to see it for Ohio St but I have seen them for NFL, MLB, NHL and other college games. Not sure if it's Ohio St just not utilizing the resource (and presumed tax write off?) or them giving tickets to donors, other's etc instead but they're not available often.

I know this is a lot later than you probably hoped but I just joined 2 days ago haha.
