Mili: You coming to the Dinner with Archie on the 28th?

Where's YOUR Gold Pants?
It's at the Hale Koa. He coming over representing the Alumni Association and to speak to college counselors in the AM at Oahu Country Club and then the OSU Alumni Hawaii Club dinner that night. I think I am either picking him up at the airport or from his hotel to take him to the dinner and then to the airport so he can get back to C bus. Should be a good dinner and such.

I shook Archie's hand on the side of the field (by the player's tunnell) after the Michigan win in 2002 :)

...my photographer friend got to trail Archie to a lot of gatherings in Tempe and spent some time in the press booth at the game with him and other, which is not only cooler than shaking his hand (since they talked), but there was an open bar :(

I shook Archie's hand at a Bengals game this year. I don't remember which one because I went to 6 games. He is the nicest guy. It is rare you meet a celebrity that so friendly and open to talk to you.

I'm just glad I can see Archie anytime I want around campus. He is usually accessable to the public for free and he is always as much of a gentleman as he was a great player. Come to think of it, I wouldn't mind being in Hawaii to see him again.

My wife's family lived on the same block as Archie G.

He was a great kid then, though prone to throwing the football through the open rear windows of the school bus -- that's from one side of the bus to the other while it was in motion.

He remains a good guy and a great ambassador for tOSU to this day.
