What a shock...he was godawful managing his mess of a QB situation. That team should have gone 11-5 this year considering the pussy-bitch division it was in and the talent that they have, especially on defense and on the lines.

Mike Singletary's tumultuous season came to a merciful end late Sunday, which marks only the beginning of the changes in San Francisco, where Jed York says money will be no object in righting the ship. [Trent] Baalke will be considered for the [GM] job. ... Ex-Broncos GM Ted Sundquist has emerged as first candidate for the 49ers' GM job. ... Others who might be considered are former Bills GM Tom Donahoe, ex-Saints and Dolphins general manager Randy Mueller and Rick Muellier, also currently with the UFL. Only after the 49ers hire a general manager will the team begin the process of interviewing head-coaching candidates, York said Sunday. Jon Gruden, currently an ESPN analyst, and Stanford coach Jim Harbaugh are widely speculated as the top candidates.
