Microsoft and Yahoo! Come (partially) Together

Microsoft announced Wednesday that it was making its instant messaging program compatible with that of Yahoo!'s

I think that Microsoft is starting to feel some pressure from Google. I personally see Google as the just about the only company with a chance at beating Microsoft. I still can't believe that Microsoft would team up with a competetor like this.

the sky is the limit for google, with unbelievable resources, a mission statement to delivery quality even when there is no competition, and the love of computer nerds everywhere. Google has Amazon (who owns so many formerly big name retail companies) in its backpocket, so it should be just fine.

Also, if a true war is declared on Google like has happened with most of MS' other competitors, this battle could be a little different. It just sickens me to see a company like M$ who not only buys out the competition, but breaks the law knowing that they can afford the lawsuit (like Real, which recently won a huge settlement from MS, yet MS wins b/c now they are the standard internet sound format).
