like brutus, i was at the St. Eds vs harding game. MM definitely had the moves in the open field, but you could tell after he had fumbled his first touch he got that he was rattled. if these rumors are true, i'd definitely show some interest in him. while he didn't show up saturday, he definitely proved against Glenville that he's a gamebreaker. kinda like a bigger version of Bam, IMO

as for WGH being surrounded by scum fans, i didn't see anyone sporting scum hats/shirts at the game. as for OSU stuff, it was all over the place saturday night.

Got this nice little ding from our newbie "Hoppy":

perpetuation of an unsubstantiated and pointless rumour

First, rumors, by definition, are unsubstantiated, or else they wouldn't be rumors, now would they? Second, it's far from pointless to bring up the possibility of one of our own state's top-flight receivers, who just schooled the nation's top corner and Buckeye commitment, and who has committed to our arch rival, changing his mind and committing to us instead. Third, I explicitly stated that it is currently just a rumor...however, if you've been around awhile, you'd know that more rumors end up proving true than not.

At least have the balls to sign your dings. By the way, it's spelled "rumor" (no "u").

Getting back to the original rumor. If there is anything to it at all, I can't help but wonder about MM friend Prescott Burgess. Life at scUM has been no bed of roses for Burgess thus far.

Burgess is now a sophomore and presently plays only on special teams. Burgess is buried on the depth chart at LB. Against SDSU Burgess got zero playing time even on special teams.

I find it hard to believe he's telling MM, life's great come on up!

Interesting rumor... if nothing else it should at least give Carr some heartburn :biggrin: ... With a top caliber kid who verbaled to scUM from the state of Ohio, I hope our staff can help him correct his mistake :biggrin: ...

I'd like to reserve my ring side seats for the fight right now... put security on both guys, so nobody from Vegas gets to them, and throws the fight :tongue2:

Um....actually Burgess is getting plenty of time on the two deep and has been in on a lot of very big plays (4th down on the goaline stand against ND). He's hardly buried on the depth chart. Also WGH's coach was interviewed and said Prescott tell's him all the time how much he loves it at Michigan and how great the coaches treat him.

As far as SDSU goes, Burgess missed practice that week due to injuries and if you don't practice during the week then you don't play in the game.

Edit: and for the record this hardly has me on prozac. I just think it's quite amusing you guys would believe a rumor that has absolutely no legs too it and am wondering if any of you guys would like to contact me in regards to some beach front property I out in California.
