    • The Buckeyes continue the Big Ten portion of their schedule with a trip to East Lansing to take on the Michigan State Spartans. Here is the schedule:

    Friday, April 16th, 3:00 pm
    Saturday, April 17th, 1:00 pm
    Sunday, April 18th, 1:00 pm

    The Spartans are off to a great start for 2010. The are 22-6 overall and tied for first with the Buckeyes at 4-2 in the Big Ten. It will be a real test for the Buckeyes on the road.

    no errors for the good guys in this game (2 for Sparty 9/10 runs were earned though)

    DeLucia 3 run home run was the offensive highlight

    Wimmers has just been dominant

    especially in big 10 play

    3 starts 3-0 1.12 ERA 24 IP 26K/4BB in big 10 action

    his total season ERA is now at 1.71 (8-0) with 67K/15BB in 58 IP

    Fantastic job by Minium. Rucinski loaded the bases in the 7th. Minium came in and got the first batter to K. The second batter hit the ball so hard to left that it was right at Delucia and the runner on third had no time to tag. Then Minium got the third batter to pop out to Kovanda. Great job Theron!

    2 out of 3 was huge. We really got a nice RPI bump from winning those games. If Sparty would have just beaten friggin' WMU..dammit!

    Looking ahead a bit... If we take care of business vs Akron ans PSU, and UM and UL hold their current RPI rankings for another week..we have a chance to put ourselves in the mix for an at large. Two of three vs UM (57) and a split with UL (4) should give us a huge bump. Still a ways to go, but i thought i'd put that out there.
