I'm buying into that more and more each week. This isn't a case of conference parity -- it's poor quality play on the field. With the array of coaches in this league, you'd expect much better.

So the big question for me is whether Dantonio makes a difference this year or not...in the past, oh, 15 or so years, a soon as MSU has lost they have imploded and folded like a 25 cent tent the rest of the way. Now that they've lost 2 close ones in a row they probably should have won, this is where we see what he can really do with the mental aspect of this football team.

The Big Ten is horrible, in a sense. Say we're first, and Illinois is a nice story right now at #2...Michigan will be really good by the end of the year, but their season is over in terms of legacy already because of how badly they were embarassed early, so they won't count like they should have...then what? Who is #4? Penn State? Iowa? Indiana? Michigan State? Wisconsin? They're all equally flawed, and they're all equally mediocre.
