Michigan State 35, Michigan 21 (final)

WHAT THE FUCK. Michigan just got an instant replay touchdown because the receivers one foot was on the PILON?!?! No feet in bounds. NONE. Are you shitting me? WORST CALL EVER!

The fact that they even reviewed that was unbelievable. The ball itself never crossed the plane of the goal, so it shouldn't matter if his foot did hit the pylon.

I have never seen such a hose job since we got screwed by no review on the early fumble in the Illinois game.....of course Illinois got hosed in the Wisconsin game with a no PI call near the end of the game on 4th and 5.....

Plain and simple, Big Ten referees are some of the worst there are.....

The Pylon represents the endzone line yes...but Minor had to reach back and catch the ball. just because his body (foot) hit the pylon doesn't mean the ball crossed the plane. The ball was behind him and didn't cross the fucling plane...horrible call!!!

What was even worse was the call of the fumble that gave scUM the ball, when the ball clearly hit the ground, which caused the fumble.

Dumbass QB reaches out with the ball to break his fall, drops it before his body hits the ground = fumble. "The ground can't cause a fumble" isn't true on a play like that one.

That just doesn't seem legit. If the ball hits the ground, I would consider that down, especially if it's the first thing that hits. THat's just me though. Doesn't seem like a good rule, because if a RB is going down and the ball hits first and comes out before his body is down, yet he has control, I would think they say the ground caused the fumble. It seems like I've seen that before.

Apparently, the replay official hasn't read the rules lately:

A player or an airborne player who touches a pylon is out of bounds.

What's worse? He just explained it to the tv guys exactly opposite of how it is written in the rulebook.

If he reached the ball out like that, touched the ground with it but didn't fumble it, regained his balance and kept running, would he be down where the ball touched the ground?

Nope.

That's why it's a fumble when he drops it. :)

Clint Stoerner?

 at UM trying to return the short FG attempt from the back of the endzone, then blocking in the back to get the ball on the 10 instead of the 33.

Nice catch, fuck those homer refs. Karma says Mich St rolls after that BS.

As to which is worse...I think it's a tie. Not knowing the rules and blowing the call which results in a touchdown...amazing ineptitude. I'm fired up and it's not even the Buckeyes...if that call was against Ohio State I think I'd be throwing stuff.

That was a horrible call. The ball never broke the plane of the endzone in bounds. Had they gotten it right, it would have been 4th and 11. Sparty's doing enough to try and lose on their own, they don't need help from the refs.
