I was just informed that the alumni tickets I was awarded for the Michigan lottery have been rescinded due to ticket demand. I was originally offered Minnesota tickets. In July I received a letter stating that I had won the Michigan lottery. Now they are telling me that my only options are Bowling Green or Indiana. To say the least, I am not very happy. I plan on taking this as far as I can, and I'm looking for other alumni who are in this position. I wll be contacting Bill Jones, the ticket director, and Archie Griffin, alumni association director. I understand that ticket demand is high this year. They should have anticpated that and not promised something to the alumni that they would be unable to fulfill. If I do not make any satisfactory process on this issue, I will be through with this university. I have been a Buckeye supporter since I was able to walk and talk, I put up with their bureacracy and bullsh*t as a student, and I have supported them many ways financially and vocally as an alum. This is the last straw. I am willing to pack up my diploma, memorabilia, apparel, whatever, and disown this university if this is how they are going to treat the alums. I can find some other school who would probably be glad to have my support. Anyone else with this problem, please PM me.
