Michigan Chatter - 2004

Ticket demand is very low for the game this year... I'm sure you can get in for $100 or less per ticket if you scalp before the game.

An FYI... PSU tickets were going for more $$ than scUM at the same time. I know folks with several 50 yardline tickets and they tend to sell a couple of them each year... they usually get around $250-$300 (think Cinci and those types of games) per ticket for the not so good games and $500 and above for the better games.

This year they can only get $250 a ticket for the scUM game... that is unheard of... a bad scUM year is $500 each and in '02 it was well over $1k...

So I guess the point is the best seats in the house are going for around $250 (as in right on the 50 yardline in A deck, in the top 1/3 as far as rows are concerned... total cream tickets), I wouldn't pay $150 unless I was at least inbetween the 25 yardline's (and high enough up that the lines of sight were very good)...

Guess four losses will effect demand even at OSU...

Im guessing that you can get a ticket for around a 100 bucks this yearif you do not care about where you sit (which I never really care to much). I can only imagine that demand is much lower this season judging by our record.

My seats are in 27D, which seems pretty high up, but the view is fantastic. You can see the plays develop. I also am in the front row behind a railing, so I do not have anyone sitting in front of me.

Another benefit is that I am under shelter so if it rains, I'll be cool.

I was all ready to buy these tickets untill gbearbucks post. Now I'm just confused again. Thanks for the post though gbear. People I have talked to here at work say I would be crazy not to take A deck tickets for $150. I'm still not usre what I am going to do. I need more opinions.

Northernbuck,

If you are not all that concerned with price, pull the trigger. You never can go wrong paying extra money for the OSU Michigan game. I've seen it go either way on gameday (take it from a guy who buys a lot of scalped tickets), so you risk rolling the dice if you wait.

NB, if you are worried about the view...dont be. I sat on the goal line for the PSU game. i didnt have a great view of plays on the other end of the field, but the plays on my end made up for it tenfold (of course, that might be because both the PR and INT were right in front of me  ). the point is, the experience is WELL WORTH IT. especially for scUM.

i paid a lot for those PSU tickets, and i havent regretted a dime of it.

Hey, people, wake up. scUM is just about as inexperienced as we are. Not quite so much on D, but look what they've given up the last couple of games - damn near 1000 yards. Henne is a true frosh. Hart is a true frosh. So, they have an inexperienced QB, an inexperienced RB, and great WR's. Sound familiar? This game will come down to coaching....and luckily for TOSU, Tressel always saves his best game of the year for the weasels. It'll be a Tresselball battle, but TOSU will pull it out. Daddyphatsacs was right:

27-24, Bucks. The weasels will die in agony.

I agree that Michigan isn't as good as their record.

MSU if Stanton stays in game Michigan gets beat down like Wisky did

Purdue if they didn't fumble the ball in the redzone twice and on their last drive they kill Michigan

Minnesota blew their game again

Hell Illinois and Indiana gave Michigan a fight for a half.

Their defense sucks ass!!! They have given up alot of points. Their safeties have bave habits of cheating for run support and the linebackers and D-linemen overpursue.

I say double Edwards all day. Let him catch the underneath stuff but don't let him get the Big ones.

Take away Edwards let somebody else beat us.

OSU 31

Michigan 28

Nugent hits 55 yarder as time expires

If their is any chance Ohio State has of winning this game it is because of the Shoe. Plain and simple. You have young freshman, who have been to ND where they lost, Purdue which is an okay atmosphere, Indiana and Illinois. They have have not experienced anything like the Horseshoe on a big game day. If Ohio State can get a lead and the crowd can rattle Henne then we have at least a chance. I don't like our chances at all(which I must say so OSUGrad doesn't jump down my throat), but that is our best chance.

so in other words, you agree with my post and just expanded on it to pass it off as an original thought?
