MichaeLLLLLLLLL "0-9" ‘Bike’ Hart (douchebag)

They aspect of our defense that got shredded yesterday was in the passing game. We've given up plenty of yards this year on the ground, but made up for that with creating TO's, largely by means of interception. We got none yesterday, and that is why our defense did not appear "special." As for Hart having a good game, he most certainly did. And he's a good back. But we've proven already not to be a great run defense in matchups with Garrett Wolfe, Selvin Young/Jamaal Charles, Tony Hunt, and in some other instances. Hart should praise Henne for playing a smart, efficient game yesterday, because he was the one who excelled, in my opinion.

Overall, I've got no beef with what he said. He's 0-3, along with Henne, after all. I remember how sour the 90's were!

Bottom line

Ya wanna know what makes this defense special...

They're part of the Big Ten Champions...
They're part of an undefeated team...
They're part of the #1 team in the land...
They're part of the eventual National Champions...

and ya wanna know something Hart... you're not :oh:

So... I guess he's also saying that his offense and -- HE -- isn't a special group or running back ?!?! We were special enough to beat them and HIM. I mean he is a great running back, but he wasn't great enough to win. Nor was his offensive squad. I'm confused... tOSU doesn't have a "special" defense, yet he lost. And he's a special player? I don't care what anyone says, he was and is a sore loser. He can't or won't blame his coaches, teammates, or any situation that is the ACTUAL reason for why they lost. He has to take a shot at our defense!! WHA?! I won't say that tOSU defense played a great game, but c'mon... numbers don't lie and the season stats prove our defense is special.

Where to begin? Ahhh, actually it's just not worth it. I had a lot of respect for him, especially as he is one hell of a runningback, but he just lost all of it after pulling that Matt Leinart shit. In short, piss on that turd.

I think Hart came off as a bit of a sore loser. But this is OSU-Michigan, if you weren't a bit sore after losing I'd question your commitment to your team. Yeah, the nice thing in sports is to credit your opponent for everything...whatever. If you go out there and give your all in the biggest rivalry in sports and lose it's going to hurt. So, while I may not like what Hart said, and may think he's a sore loser I don't respect him any less because of it. This rivalry was built on firey personalities, a desire to win, and a bit (maybe more than a bit) of animosity, Mike Hart is just carrying on those traditions.

i think some people need to be a little more careful with their verbage, saying someone is an idiot and calling them classless isnt exactly classy....

it was a pr move to get the rematch, it seems to be working with lots of hype in that direction...

the reality is that the defense want that special last night, um d was that special. we saw two teams push the ball up and down the field all day on each other...

mike hart played a heck of a game, michigan played a heck of a game. they did so in a hard fought, classy, respectful manner.

I hear ya, but Hart has never once had any kind of problem dealing with the media in the past. In fact he's considered one of the softer-spoken guys on the team. So I doubt any of the coaching staff has ever had to have a one-on-one with him. Michigan can in no way be considered a team that's got a mouth problem....surely nobody's suggesting there's a pattern.

How about last year when he said

'we are scum, we don't lose 3 games in one year'

and then proceeded to lose 5

I love how he says the outcome of the game would be much different.

He's right, it would. Here's why:

- 3rd quarter 10:30ish, 3rd and 9, Troy throws a pick at our own 19. Very uncharacteristic of him. 4 plays later UM tacks on a field goal.

- 3rd quarter 1:00, 1st and 5, bad snap, UM recovers, 3 plays later, Mike Hart scores.

- 4th quarter 13:30ish, 3rd and 1, bad snap, Michigan recovers, OSU misses out on opportunity to score at least a field goal.

-4th quarter 3:00, 4th and 16, ticky tacky PI on Malcolm Jenkins, sustaining the UM drive, they score 4 plays later and tack on the 2 point conversion.

That's a 21 point swing because of mistakes this Buckeye team DOES NOT make. Score could have easily been 42-17.

If it's a rematch, I'll bet the house on OSU to cover. There will be 0 bad snaps on January 8 with a healthy Datish.

He was using the new math. :tongue2:

Frankly, I'm not that disturbed by Hart venting his spleen minutes after The Game is done.

Did it show complete and total class - No.

Did it show him as a complete and total Ass - Also no.

Certainly he could have paused and said things more carefully, in a manner that did not effectively disrespect both teams. (One directly in his comments, the other by virtue of the reflected dismissal of his own team's defensive stature, let alone his more than capable performance in the game - all were undercut). But, he spoke instead off the cuff and more from his heart than his head.

I love it when Buckeye fans mention the PI call on scUM's 4th down play was "iffy" or ticky tacky.

If you think that, you don't understand a thing about football. A DB who makes contact with a WR without looking back for the ball will get called every time. You don't need to know much about football to understand that.

It was PI, but what really pissed me off was the ball hit JamO for an incomplete pass.

JamO's PI was true. The one called on Jenkins, on the other hand, with a ball that was 15 yards over the receiver's head, was chicken droppings.
