MichaeLLLLLLLLL "0-9" ‘Bike’ Hart (douchebag)

If our defense isnt "special"....then what does he think that makes his OWN defense? They were the D that was being hyped as one of the best ever, with 4 1st Round picks....and they got rolled on through the air AND the ground. I guess the Bucks didnt get the memo the press sent out that you CANT run on the UM defense. And he is right about the outcome being different in a rematch.....we wont have two botched, fluke snaps to keet them in the game again. I respect Mike Hart as a GREAT player.....but when i heard those comments, i was severly disappointed (just as i would have been if a Buck had said them). You would expect a "team leader" to show a tad more respect. Oh well....hope he enjoys the Rose Bowl!!

The comments just made him look like an idiot. I think it was just the emotion of the loss because the bitterness in his voice was pretty obvious to me. No big deal, but the best he has to wish for is 1-3 vs OSU and he's got some work to do to accomplish that.

A telling stat......Woodley 0 solo tackles and 4 asst. tackles
Burgess 2 solos and 3 asst. tackles.
Crable, 1 solo and 0 asst. tackles

What a great job by the line,TE's, Fb's and RB's

Keep in mind.....I'm not trying to play a game of one-upsmanship (one-downsmanship?) or "who's got less class". Just trying to point out to certain people that it takes two to tango.
i not trying to do the one-upmanship but keep in mind both sides has had incedents through out the rivalry.my point is where the grace in defeat on mikes behalf?never have u heard anyone on our side make comments like that after a defeat.bottom line look at the scoreboard;go bucks!!!

My 2 cents on the subject is that Harts words and the words of UM fans are completely different.

Mike Hart directly represents the football team and the feelings of his university. They would not have put him in front of cameras if they did not want him speaking on behalf of the UM team. Therefore, his language reflects what the rest of the team feels.

The fans however are not put in front of cameras because they have a different view of the games and the opposing teams, we are not a part of the football team. We view a game against NW as cake walk and talk all week about how we will roll against the Wildcats. However, when Troy Smith speaks, he talks in class about respects the other squads strengths. That right there shows that a fans opinion and a players opinion are on different levels. There should be no comparison between fans and players on this subject.

In my world it is possible for players to loose my respect. Reynolds (and I'm assuming you're talking about the Wisconsin game) is certainly a case in point. I didn't care for Boston's finger pointing either.

As for Hart, after finally showing up for The Game, he's certainly entitled to a few sour grapes, but those should have been shared with the team and not with the outside press. Whatever the outcome, he certainly added to the OSU motivational bulletine board.

Desmond's endzone antics pre-date (and helped create) the rules against excessive celebrating... back to Boston, eh?

I dislike the WWF poses and gestures on the football field. It's probably why I prefer college ball to the NFL.

I love that Hart made the comments. It makes scUM look bad and it can only motivate our defense for the BCS and the next time we play scUM. (possibly one and the same)

Even better was Laurinaitis' retort. He didn't fall for the bait in the slightest. The defense needs to get better and Hart's comments can only aid in that process.

You did give up 39 points, after all. Just 'cause Michigan's defense looked awful doesn't mean OSU's didn't too. Not exactly the 7 PPG scoring average they had all year.

That's easy to say when you win. If OSU had lost 90% of Buckeye fans would have complained that Michigan didn't really win, OSU just gave them the game is all. It was already starting after the second botched snap.

Win with class, lose with class.

Hart is actually one of the classiest, hardest-working football players you'll find.

Guess he left his class in Ann Arbor for this one.

animal juniors comment shows the difference in the level of class in the programs.our kids our very tressel like in their mannor and conduct, while the meatheads our more carr like in their demeanor as evident in his lack of composure on the sidelines.

I can't say I fault Mike Hart for saying what he probably feels is true, and I know exactly what it's like to lose a hard-fought game. No one expected Michigan to score 39, and if you told me they had, I probably wouldn't have felt good about the Buckeye's chances. He's been in the forefront of the biggest rivalry in CFB for 3 years now, on the losing end each time. Adding to the frustration was the fact that he finally played a good game in this rivalry, and STILL couldn't get a win. With the enormous tragedy that struck the program, the enormity of the game, and the pressure of having to perform, I'm surprised we didn't get more of a reaction from Michigan players. For my part, I can't hold this against Mike Hart, and I thank him for doing his part to make this football game mean what it means.

All that being said, his opinion is obviously wrong. Oh well, good luck in the Rose Bowl, Mike. Heh.

I just read the complete transcript from the entire scUM press conference, and I have to say Hart's comments don't bother me nearly as much as when I first heard them. First thing, other than his comments, scUM handled a difficult defeat with total class. And Hart was just venting some frustration and was probably just a little too emotional. I supect he realizes those weren't the wisest comments to make. I don't want anyone judging our program based on stupid comments or actions of a select few, and I refuse to judge scUM on them either.

Of course, having said that, I've never been a big fan of LLLLLoyd for his continuous whining to the refs (like yesterday) that always seem to get him a questionable PI call (like yesterday) late in the game. And how could he possibily whine (like he did) about the helmet to helmet shot Crable took at Troy. I also have gotten annoyed at his blaming outside factors on his teams performance. At least I didn't hear any of that.

But the LLLLLoyd comments aside, scUM fans have good reason to be proud of their program, just as we have good reason to be proud of ours.

whinning and bitching to the refs is the only thing carr does well in big games.he doesnt game plan well because in the first half yesterday he blew it by not consistantly giving the ball to the one guy with the abilty to get it done for u.mike hart was scums x factor and they got him involved to late.
