MichaeLLLLLLLLL "0-9" ‘Bike’ Hart (douchebag)

The title says it all.
Let me paraphrase Mike Hart:

We played our best game of the year, and they gave us the ball 3 times, and we almost won. Of course I think we're a better team, and if we get to play again, maybe we'll play lights out again, and if they give us the ball 4 times we might even win. Their defense isn't all that good. I mean, our defense is better. They gave up almost 40 points to us...to US. They must really suck.

I only wish he had referred to himself in the third person.

Did anyone see the post game interview with Mike Hart. He sure showed alot of class. Saying our defense isnt as good as everyone says.
You did give up 39 points, after all. Just 'cause Michigan's defense looked awful doesn't mean OSU's didn't too. Not exactly the 7 PPG scoring average they had all year.

Why dont you just swallow your pride and admit that it was a hard fought game that went our way.
That's easy to say when you win. If OSU had lost 90% of Buckeye fans would have complained that Michigan didn't really win, OSU just gave them the game is all. It was already starting after the second botched snap.

I'm inclined to give Hart more of a pass (at least tonight) than other people, because I can understand his frustration...they scored 39, and still didn't win, after all. I'm not excusing him, but I can understand his frustration, although there is a difference between sticking up for yourself and disrespecting the team that just beat you, and he didn't make that distinction very well.

As for the idea that "well we Buckeye fans would have said those things too to, so..." that's pretty much hyopthetical psychobabble. We lost the Texas game last year and we all gave them plenty of credit around here, despite being a game we thought we should have won, so no, you're pretty much wrong.

You must not have been around after the Penn State game last year.

tOSU's defense didn't look awful, but I don't think scUM's did either. The defenses made plays, but the offenses made more. Neither had played against a team with so many playmakers on the other side of the field, so it was natural that there would be a lot of points. Nice try getting your boy's back, but there's no way around it....he was being a sore loser.

His remarks were funny I thought. Because our 'D' May not be as good as everyone says they are, they still didn't allow Mike Hart to score another touchdown to WIN the game...

All I have to say is neither D looked 'outstanding' but The Buckeyes allowed three less points, and we got the W. :)

Buckeye fans sent death threats after that game to one of our own players, so I don't think you'd like to compare the fan reaction after that game.

I was talking about the board ("around here"), not the fanbase as a whole.

Had he said he liked his chances in a rematch, b/c he felt he could run on our D, I would not have blinked.

But saying 'there's nothing special about that defense', in that tone, after losing, comes off as classless.

Chris Fowler just made a good point on College Gameday Final.

Mike Hart needs to be careful what he wishes for. If he gets the rematch he seems to want, he might find out the hard way just how special this defense is.
