I apologize Iv lost your train of thought. By the same logic what about the Arkansas game applies to Alabama beating Ohio State. Or what about the Florida game applies to Alabama beating Ohio State? They are all qualitative judgments.

It was you who decided that there was evidence enough to make a clear distinction between OSU and Alabama. It was you who proposed an opinion that lies outside the collective thinking of this board. And now it is you who needs to decide whether you are going to explain your rationale or have it disregarded as the same type of unfounded statement you would expect to find on an SEC forum.

That pretty much sums it up

I never said Ohio State would beat Alabama, I suggested it was possible..which it obviously is. Pointing out that Alabama does not murder every opponent just speaks to that vulnerability. They are no different from any other top team, they are going to have to improve if they want to make it to the national championship and have a chance at winning. Nobody gets crowned in early October.

The Bears were crowned in August one year as I remember

I'm ok with that.

You used the Arkansas game as a rebuttal to me saying Alabama was better than Ohio State. What about the Arkansas game applies? Are we going to pass all over them? Nope. That looks like the only vulnerable part of their defense, and I don't see us exploiting that at this time. We can't run on Ohio or EMU, so that's not happening.

I mean....I'm not foolish enough to say one team could never beat another. Especially when the 2 teams are so close overall. But Alabama right now would probably beat us 8 times out of 10. Our offense isn't balanced enough, we're losing DBs like we're Michigan, and I'd like to see Pryor run around a little bit before I stop being concerned about him. Alabama's only problem right now is deciding who is going to rip off the next 80 yard run between Ingram and Richardson.

You know Ohio State offensives numbers are almost identical to Alabama's?

You can say: "Take a look at the schedules" but let's go ahead and do that

To date let's just say Bama had 3 "quality" games, Penn State, Arkansas and Florida and that Ohio State had 1 "quality" game with Miami. This is as fair as the analysis gets, Miami is ranked better in total D then all 3 of those schools and Miami has played some pretty good competition.

In the 3 games Bama averaged 192.3 rushing yards, 367.6 total yards and scored 26.3 points

Ohio State against Miami had 181 rushing yards, 414 total yards and 36 points

Obviously if Pryor's injury is a lingering problem that hampers the offense, but that doesn't really have anything to do with your original statement regarding Florida Vs Miami

We also averaged 8.3 yards per carry and had 342 yards rushing against EMU. We didn't have great rushing numbers against Ohio U (3.9 ypc and 158 yards) but still moved the ball and scored points.

Or is it a statement about how you hold panda bears -- as in you can hold beer better than you can hold pandas -- which only makes sense, beer being much more inanimate than say a live panda -- or, my beer moves less than my panda -- or a motorcycle is faster because a vest doesn't have sleeves.
