Miami (Oh) @ Marshall......

Marshall fans are so fair weathered. They have a lot of fans that will follow Marshall when they are hot, but now that WVU is hot...they've found a new team. In 2002 i'm sure they were Ohio State fans. I'm glad that there are no Penn teams that they need to follow. These Miami-Marshall games are close...except last year when Miami crushed Marshal 45-6. I was at that game...never saw the second half...spent it in the bathroom passed out. Finally when it was over a friend came and got me out of there. Sneaking booze into games is fine...but be careful if it's 151, okay?

In all seriousness, I think Trev and May do a much better job in the booth than on the set. They got silly a couple times but overall did a pretty good job. Ohio State was mentioned a few times but no jabs were taken.

The game was pretty good. It looked like Marshall was going to run away early. Miami had turnovers on their first two possessions which led to 10 points for Marshall. An interesting stat about Miami is that last year they were third in the nation in turnover margin and going into this game they were something like 107. -4 last night certainly didn't help any. Marshall went up 16 late in the game. Miami scored a little more than midway through the 4th and was successful on the two point conversion. Trailing by 8, they picked off Hill. Inside the 10 yard line, they ran a beautiful option for what was a sure TD. The only problem, the RB didn't catch the ball with his hands and let it him in the chest. The ball bounced out of the endzone for a Marshall touchback and the game was over. On a side note, Marshall DE Goddard was a stud. He was all over the field making plays picking up a couple sacks, a fumble recovery, and I believe an INT.
