Miami Heat (3x NBA Champions)

Will be an interesting irony.. how much I will enjoy watching Artest beat the crap out of King Vag.. used to piss me off..

Anyone else feel that despite how tuff LBJ 'acts' when he's getting hammered.. that he's really a sissy... You can just tell... Artest, Delonte West, Maurice Lucas, Kendrick Perkins... those dudes are the real deal... they'd tangle with you with no regard if they'd win or lose...

Bitter? me? maybe just a little bit :wink2:

......how you gonna blow a 22 point lead with this team. Something ain't right about that one.

I didn't watch the game, but speaking from experience over the past several years Lebron probably started jacking up long off-balance shots rather than going to the hoop. That's usually how teams came back against the Cavs. I have a feeling that the Heat are going to have trouble when they have to face halfway decent bigs this year. They have a roster full of pussies.

The problem as of right now isnt bigs. Although D. Williams was out in OT, they have lost to teams with good PG play, for whatever reason. Milsap fucking pwned James, and Bosh. James didnt really touch the ball in OT. Further proof (if you needed it) that this is D Wade's team!

IF their hopes are hinging on Mike Miller they are even more screwed than I already think they are....

Hopes of making the playoffs hinging on him, of course not. Hopes of being able to win it all... they'll need him.

Well you have people out there that say the Celtics would have beat the Lakers last year if Perkins didn't get injured. I'd say Miller is just as important of a piece if not more so to the Heat, that Perkins is to the Celtics.

people also have to realize it's only about the 8th game they've all played together. there will be growing pains, for sure.

I still fully expect this team to win a championship this season, and agree its very early.

That said, I love that LeBron is putting up a Scottie Pippen stat-line every night and D-Wade has prven to be "the closer" down the stretch. And I love that things have become awkward with Bosh to the point where he's going to the back of team flights to apologize for his play and try and get a better understanding of what he needs to do on the court with Wade and LeBron.

I know these guys said they'd be willing to sacrifice their games for the betterment of the team, but a lot of their inner-selves was saying they'd be so good their stats would hardly be affected.

Heck, even people on this board said they thought LeBron would average a triple-double and his PPG would stay about the same.

Now its obvious LeBron will be about a 21-22 ppg scorer, not be the "go-to guy" down the stretch and will likely have to handle PG duties for this team to win. LeBron looks frustrated and emotionless on the court (mostly unhappy) and has already had run-ins with the coach and upper-management in regards to staying in cities to party and members of his enoturage being told they can't travel on the team charter.

Again, I anticipate they'll get things on track in the "W" coloumn, but at the same time if you gave LeBron "the decesion" to do over again, I'm not sure he makes the same choice. He prob chooses New York or New Jersey where he can do the things hes accustomed to on and off the court.

This isn't a valid excuse for blowing an 8 point lead with under 30 seconds to play in a game. I don't care if they've played together for 8 games or 8 minutes.
