Miami (FL) Hurricanes (1926-2003)

cryami making room for recruits

SEC style..........

Oversigning.com

It has been confirmed that at least one of the two players suspected of being cut to make room for Seantrel Henderson and Latwan Anderson is now officially gone from his dream school. As mentioned below, Miami is deep at Wesley 's position and he was suspected of coming in "not as well conditioned physically" by those close to the program. Translation: we don't care about you because there is someone new we like better at a position of greater need and in order to have that person we have to get rid of someone. Otherwise, if we really cared about you we would do whatever it takes to get you in the right condition and continue to develop you and we wouldn't take more players than we have room for which is ultimately what is forcing our hand to get rid of someone. We know we promised you and your parents that we would take care of you for the next 4-5 years and make a man out of you, but with all this pressure to win and all this money they pay us to win we just can't afford to risk missing out on a guy like Seantrel Henderson or Latwan Anderson.

the "1 year renewable excuse" will likely be used by Miami fans

How many recruiting violations did you guys report** trying to recruit him? We didn't have to lie to him like USC did.

Obviously many more violations than you guys reported, but that is because Ohio State is trying to be as transparent as possible after the whole MoC fiasco. Just because UM doesn't self-report minor violations like Ohio State does not mean they followed the absolute letter of the NCAA regulations.

I live down here, so don't try and tell me you know of nothing shady in getting both Henderson AND Anderson into football schollies. UM is looking worse than an SEC team right now when it comes to recruiting shennanigans (well, except for ol' Nutt job, that darn rebel!).

Dude in all fairness both our teams don't play in the SEC. They have no respect for rules. Im sure i don't need to provide a link lol.

Miami has the same lack of integrity as SEC schools when it comes to making room for oversigned recruits though.............

Scholarships are on a yearly basis. Just sayin. Both players have fallen in the depth chart.

So?

Supposedly it's as much about education as it is athletics....

One question, will they have to pay back the [strike] Pell Grant money[/strike] loan they got some Shannon?

lame excuse

its a loophole that the NCAA needs to close, not all coaches abuse it, only certain ones (which includes Randy Shannon now, most notably Nick Saban)

the players have to make a commitment to the school but the school doesnt have to make a commitment to the players, how fair is that?

at any moment for no reason a school can just tell a kid to basically get lost to make room for the next oversigned 5 star recruit

and then the kid still has to sit out a year if he wants to play 1-A ball

what kind of shit is that?
