Game Thread Miami (FL) at tOSU, Sat Sep 11, 3:40 ET, ESPN

Yeah, all this talk about 'redemption' is pretty ridiculous. That is over and done with, those teams are not here. The game took place almost a decade ago. Posey said it best. These kids have nothing to do with that game, yet I still can't help but feel like some of them believe they do. Especially on the Miami side. As if they feel they have to take the field thinking it's 4th and goal in double OT.

Also, being from Oxford Ohio and the home of Miami, I just want you to remember that Miami was a school way before FL was a state. I will never put (OH) before Miami! This in an insult in my opinion! :osu:
Shit I forgot that one... and I'm an alumnus... OK that would be number 14 of the ways I hate Miami.

Shannon thinks DB Latwan Anderson, a track signee and football walk-on, will arrive on campus next week. Anderson hasn?t yet flown down from his home in Ohio because he can?t find a plane ticket his family can afford.
?The hard thing for him right now is you can?t make up a ticket up in one day.? Anderson likely will fly into Fort Lauderdale and take a shuttle down to Miami.

To state the glaringly obvious, there is no such thing as a "track signee and a football walk on". His scholarship will count towards football's limit..at least if/when he joins the team I guess. Shannon probably hasn't decided who to cut/if he's going to cut someone to make room for Anderson

Jax, a little story about my Miami hatred and Ibises. When I lived in Boynton Beach last year, the ibises would gather on the bank of the canal by my apartment. I would put my dog in her Ohio State T-shirt, leash her up, and let her chase those fuckers around and scare them. It was my only way of combining exercise for my dog and an attack on a symbol of the Cane football team.

Let's go Bucks, let's show 'em what real speed is.
O-H

He could just meet the team in Columbus lol

That is assuming he saved up his milk money for a bus trip to town. Wasn't he struggling to fly down to Miami???

BTW, I wouldn't usually make fun of a young person struggling financially but he comes off as such an Ass Clown I made an exception :tongue2:

It sounds like he is begging for money on a street corner! If i had a chance to play football at any major university, hell who am i kidding, ANY university, i would be walking dogs, washing cars, mowing lawns, or what ever i could do to get money to get that airline ticket! I guess i dont expect everything to be handed to me!:osu:

Just clarifying a fine point, but he's already joined the team (his first practice was Sunday), and he can still be considered a walk-on. But as soon as he steps on the field during a game, you're right in that he'll then be counted as part of the football 85. Sun-Sentinel
