You can also check out McGees. I actually prefer it for Buckeye bars in the city.

McGees sounds like the place to be from the Chicago Alumni Association web site. I'll probably be taking the Metra Rail. Any idea what the walk is like from the downton station on Madison?

Well... for one thing, Marshall isn't as good as Miami. As a consequence, there should be some apprehension among our fan base that they perform against a better Defense and they slow down what should also be a more competent offense.

I'm not defending Hooley, but seems to me you're going off for no reason. I mean, seriously, you're bitching about his not being homer enough? Please.

No doubt Marshall isn't as good as Miami.

The fact is that he spends the entire show trying to play up the reasons that the buckeyes will lose. I get that may be his role, but it's not sportscenter. it's buckeye blitz. I'm not saying he shouldn't be realistic, but it's like he's trying to make a name for himself by appearing impartial, going too far to sell it.

I agree we should be realistic about the fact that we face a steep increase in talent this week. Doesn't mean I have to sit here and wring my hands about how the 2006 team couldn't handle that southern speed as if its relevant to today's game, as he boldly stated.

If i came on this board, as several U fans have done, and brought up the 06 game and ranted about how it means our tackles will get embarassed by the U's DE's, I'd be banned in 3 mins. I view Buckeye Blitz as a forum that, as this one is, should be for fans.

If you think I'm overreacting, fine. I still think he's a douche, and if you haven't watched it, the multiple pot shots at the team (more than I've included here) should piss you off too.

Dear Ohio State fans,
I know you live in America's dump--excuse me, Ohio--where the rivers burn, favorite sons leave for Miami, Michigan kicks your #### year in and year out and it snows 25 inches in May with an arctic wind. But for the love of God, if you're gonna have a trash talkin battle with the real boys, with the champs, ya gotta stop sounding like Sunday school teachers. It just proves there's less of a groin to kick ya in and that y'all are really as lame as we think y'all are. I say either way this game goes, TP will be eatin some manure courtesy of Allen Bailey. Considering it's Ohio, it probably really does taste like s***. Also, your mascot looks like the poster child of "I go to Ohio State. I'm never gettin laid." THE U INVENTED SWAGGER! That is all.:

Wow, what did the other Miami fan have to say?

1. Michigan is our bitch
2. Talking trash isn't something to brag about. Doing it poorly less so.
3. As I've already pointed out once in this thread the costumed Sebastian is a fucking duck who is supposed to be an ibis.
4. I've never seen 25 inches of snow in May.
5. Miami in the summer smells of tanning oil, swamp (raw sewage), and ball sweat.
I can't wait till the game so these fuckers can go back into their rocks. Fucking human hermit crabs.

Don't forget the dead Haitian's rolling up on the beaches.

McGees is a dump, but to each his own. Better get there by noon or you will have no seat.

My son just graduated Navy Boot Camp and we are looking for a Big Ten Friendly location to watch the game tomorrow. We are staying in the North Chicago/Waukegan area and I need some Buckeye advice.

I stopped in to the BWW and asked if they had the game and all 3 of the employees standing there ripped on the Buckeyes and said Miami was going to Kick our @@@! I can't handle that place! It would be different if they were real Miami fans and not Buckeye haterz so I am looking for something a little more friendly if it exists.

He's not permitted to travel more than 50 miles from base otherwise we would be in Columbus already.... If you are from this area or know this area PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN! Otherwise I will be at BWW :(:oh:

I hear Ord riding to your rescue, but be forewarned, Chicago is Notre Dame and Michigan territory and with that game playing at the same time you may have a difficult time finding a Buckeye friendly place.:io:

Come on now... No this place is not high class but every time I have been there it was with a bunch of other Buckeye fans and always a great time. CapnStubby - You will be fine there, but the advice to get there early is very true!

Waiting for BIL to get his ass up so we can head down to the game... maybe I should start drinking now to make him have to drive.... Damn I am a genius sometimes...

I have not been this calm about a big game since Oregon.....

I agree with WOOD, McGees is the "see and be seen" place for 'Bucks while in Chicago. You also run the risk of standing outside in a line that never moves, and missing some of the game. McGees is the place we go after the game so the girls can do shots and dance.

Try Kelly's directly across the street. It's a real bar with decent food. Although they don't have large TVs, there are enough throughout the bar to catch all the game. If you're lucky, you get the seat at the end of the bar and can watch out the window all the people standing in line at McGees missing the game.

Oh, one last thing...it's a looooooong walk from the station at Madison. Take the Yellow to the Clybourn station. Regardless of where you choose to watch the game, GO BUCKS!

I keep coming up with 42-10, Buckeyes roll. 2 Defensive TDs. I am not sure why, but this keeps going through my head.

I guess as much as I have seen UMiami play being down here, I am not drinking the orange and green kool-aid like everyone else is.
