Miami 28, Florida St 24 (final)

And I did not tape it, but wasn't there one second left when the ball hit the ground?

Anyone??? Anyone???

Yeah, there was. But it made up for shoddy clock-work earlier. Miami took a time out with 19 seconds left in the game. Somehow, when the timeout was over the clock read twenty four seconds. FSU ran an option play where the QB was tackled for a loss and FSU called a time out. The clock didn't start until the end of the play, and was run down to 17 seconds - with the clock-keeper apparently guessing that it took only two seconds between the snap and the time-out. I think at least one more second should have elapsed on that play, likely more.

I think they have 3 senior starters on the OL.

OL will be a definite question mark NEXT year. . . but I'm not getting worried.

We PLENTY of depth at DL so I'm not worried AT ALL in 2010 and 11. THere are some positions with depth issues, but DL and WR will be stocked or the next 2 years.

As for other questions posed in this thread:

If I'm not mistaken, the FSU/UM series is going back to October next year, like it should always be. It doesn't seem right playing FSU on Labor Day. But then again, it doesn't matter because we have GT, @VT, and OU our next 3 games so playing FSU/OSU back-to-back doesn't seem too tough. :lol

Our secondary is definitely short on depth and we've had trouble recruiting there for some reason. We're missing a started DE right now, but I'm not sure he would've made THAT much of a difference. Like I said, our DL and front 7 in general will be fine next year.

Sean Spence played like a true freshman last night. Never saw him play as bad last night as he did all of last year. My god he looked so lost.

Running QB's ahve ALWAYS killed Randy Shannon defenses. Last night was actually a solid game against Ponder for us.

2010 will be a great opportunity for me to visit the Shoe for the first time and I've been looking forward to the opportunity to go since it was first scheduled. It's ashame you guys couldn't come down here in time to play us in the Orange Bowl. . . even if it that trash of a stadium (to visitors) was our castle. :(
