Memories of your last football game

Undefeated, played in a freezing snow storm. Guy on the other team got hurt and laid there for what seemed like hours.

We won and everyone ran toward the locker room. I just walked back slowly. Our defensive coordinator came back to see if I was alright. I told him I wanted to take my time as it was my last HS football game. I think we discussed going bird hunting. We both walked back to the locker room. Most of us took our time showering and the parents, students and cheerleaders were waiting for us when we came out. The next day the ABJ posted the all metro and all county teams. I was lucky to see my name on the lists.

That was a long time ago but I can see it like it was last week. One of those moments I posted about in a long lost thread on life changing events I think Rugby started.

The best friends I have to this day are the guys I played football with back in Ohio.

Good luck and enjoy the experience.

True enough, NSB. My oldest friends are a couple of guys with whom I played HS ball. As for my last football game, I had a hip pointer which made me even more useless than ususal, but I remember ambush blocking the crap out of a linebacker.
