Weren't you on the team that dominated the rest of us? That could be why. :p

Yes, but I still haven't received my trophy...

Ok, according to this, we can play at Turnberry, Mentel Memorial (Bolton), or Raymond Memorial for approximately $35/person.

And, if anyone is interested, this site should give info and rates on any golf course in the state of Ohio. I'd probably be ok with making a couple of phone calls to set up an outing, but I'd want to collect the money ahead of time so I didn't get burned by no-shows.

That would be a good deal if we could get it on a weekend. Noted I know nothing about the course.

A co-worker of mine and I went out there two years ago. He shoots low 80's-upper 70's and I shoot upper 80's- low 90's.

We went out there on a windy day from the next to longest tees and I shot a 103 and he shot a 104.

Longest day of golf in my life.

Very nice course though.

Do you guys play scramble b/c no way on a weekend they'll let you do that on a muni.

Be ready for a 6.5 hour round.

I played Turnberry a good bit last year and not sure if you can get away with that.

All good points. I agree that we should just figure out a solid number about 2-3 weeks ahead and call to see if we can book enough foursomes to all play together.

We would probably have to play a best ball format instead of a scramble, but that is no big deal. The city courses absolutely suck for pace of play. I would also bunch Safari, and a few other hacker tracks in that same category.

We played a scramble for the outing last year, but I suppose we wouldn't have to or we could play a 2 man scramble. It seems like a scramble would be faster because you are going to take fewer total shots than if everyone is playing their own ball. I would just like to stay away from playing in an outing that cost upwards of $50. $35 for a round then dinner and drinks at a bar or restaurant after would be good.
