I may be ignorant but does this poll have any significance regarding the BCS?
No. But since it's the best AARP poll for retired coaches it does have significance to Lee Corso.

The number of votes separating #7 Ohio State from #8 Miami, Fla (32) is the same as the number of votes separating #4 Florida from #7 Ohio State (32). So many coaches voted Ohio State #4 that if any of the popular teams placed ahead of OSU struggle in the slightest (Florida State, Georgia) OSU would stand to move all the way up to #5 with only a few coaches reshuffling their ballot.

I think this reflects OSU's standings in the AP, Coaches, and Harris polls as well. OSU is #7 or #8 in most every poll, but so many voters have the Bucks at #4 that a swing of just a few votes will get them back in the Top-5.

LSU is listed everywhere from #9 to unranked!

Not really... I'd have them around 20 and Tenn around 17...both teams proved they dont deserve to be anywhere near the top 10 IMO. Apparntley the "master coaches" and John Cooper feel the same.

i don't think that there is anything wrong with 20 or so, but look at coach # 8, he has them behind Louisville, coach 5 is one of the only coaches that has west virginia ranked let alone the top 20, lsu should be somewhere on the board, the beat asu on the road, even if it was a "home game".
