Mark Ingram Injured, Out for SJS Game

I don't think a game against a nobody is really going to affect his chances.

Really? He could put up some monster numbers...no one really looks at the "who" as much as the numbers at the end of the season. 1800 versus 1600 and 21 TDs versus 18 could be big differences. I think it will definitely put in an early dent....not at all implying he can't overcome that, though.

Trent Richardson will put more of a dent in his stats than missing a game. If Ingram doesn't win the Heisman, that'll be why imo.

That, and it's a pretty open field.

I figured they'd play more with Richardson regardless of Ingram's health. It would be one of those, he put in 100 yards already, now let him rest the rest of the game.

I seriously doubt Archie's holding his breath about Ingram winning a second Heisman.

I don't follow his comments inside Buckeye circles. But is he treating that record like Roger Maris' family or Hank Aaron?
Simply ready for someone to step on up and win 2 in a row?

Again - I don't know how active he is within the program or Heisman gatherings.

Archie has said time and time again he can't believe no one else has won two. Always seems to be more than accepting in regaurds to another 2-time winner.

Archie is active in a ton of different groups and a major figure for OSU & the Heisman.

He is also an incredibly gracious man and would welcome Mark with open arms.

Privately, I can't answer how Archie feels about it.
But from what I know of Archie's public personality, he would like to be the first to congratulate Mark Ingrim (or whoever else may be the second to win a second Heisman) on his achievement. Archie is a class act, and I think he knows that someday, someone else will win a second Heisman. I think that Archie would root for that someone to be a classy guy, too, instead of some thug.
