Mark Cuban trying to buy Cubs

Would make the Cubs suckiness even more enjoyable for me.

CHICAGO (AP) -- Add internet billionaire and Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban to the list of potential Chicago Cubs buyers.
"I submitted an app," Cuban said in an e-mail to The Associated Press. Interested parties must submit an application to Major League Baseball to examine the team's finances. Cuban told the Chicago Tribune he sent in the application last week, although he wasn't sure of the date.

cuban must really want another sports team.

First he was mentioned about trying to get the Pirates

then he wants to start his own Football league to rival the NFL (on friday nights - which imo no one would watch as they are at highschool games)

and now the cubs.

I feel sorry for Bartman... If Alex Gonzalez hadn't choked on a sure fire double play ball, the Cubs would've been three outs from the series with the lead in hand... Bartman gets a bad rap...

My grandfather would remember, but he passed away so long ago that I don't remember him.

The Cubs still have two chances to avoid going 100 years without a championship. :!

I would welcome Cuban as the owner - he cares about winning, which hasn't been true about the Cubs' ownership for a long time.

agreed, no way it happens. If Cuban got the Cubs you would hear this next year.......batting 4th.......at SS.....Alex Rodriguez. Cuban with the Cubs would be a nightmare for the White Sox.
