One-and-done tourneys are always a bit of a crap shoot. One of the state champs in Ohio this year lost 11 or 12 games.

Agreed. Half mocking with that.

On one hand, by most accounts Syracuse really did not deserve to make the tournament at all and yet, they are now 2 single games away from being a champion. On the other, the #1 seed was up by 16 points, so they had their shot to earn a championship too. Choked.

Kenny Smith is feeling smart on the set. He's the only one who picked Villanova last night and Syracuse tonight. He picked Oklahoma, too.

Of course, he'd pick UNC to win the next game even if they were taking on the Golden State Warriors.

They will for me next week. I'm not rooting for Carolina and I'm damn sure not rooting for Notre Dame. The Orange are slightly more palatable as a 10 seed, but I'll be pulling for the Villanova-Oklahoma winner in the final, regardless.

I don't know any Nova fans and I only know one Cuse fan. 8D

I watched a lot of Big East games in the 80s when they (and ESPN) first began because they were on TV a lot. I liked Rollie Massimino and enjoyed their '85 title run. Everyone remembers the final against Georgetown. Not as many remember their title run took off after upsetting 1 seed TSUN (after squeaking by Dayton in their opener). That was hilarious. :lol:
