<!--startindex-->MIAMI TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- Police said the owner of a Clermont County business hit a clerk at a nearby store with a salsa jar over the weekend.
Kelly Eugene Brown, 41, has been charged with robbery.
Brown became enraged when Ray Holton, a worker at a Speedway station on Ohio Route 131, wouldn't sell him beer at about 3 a.m. Sunday, police said.
He took Holton's eyeglasses, officials said, then knocked him to the ground and continued to beat him.

"He used a kick in my groin," Holton said. "I doubled over. He sucker punched me in the jaw. That made me fall on my arm. All I can remember saying was, 'I can't breathe.'"
Brown is also accused of grabbing a 16-ounce jar of salsa and hitting Holton over the head.
"It happened so fast," Holton said. "I do remember he was kind of choking me, and I passed out."
Officials said Brown demanded money from the clerk, but didn't get any. He then ran off and fell down when he hit a tree.
Officers said they found Brown's cell phone in the Speedway parking lot, and he was taken into custody after they got a search warrant for his nearby business, Rainbow Moving and Storage.
He is being held at the Clermont County jail on a $250,000 bond.
Holton was transported to Bethesda North Hospital, where he was treated for a head and shoulder injury. He also had multiple bruises from the attack and is recovering at home.<!--stopindex-->
