Major programs with most individual player awards

This is the first decade since 1931-1940 that no Buckeye has won one of the major awards (Heisman, Maxwell, Outland, Lombardi, Walter Camp):

1941-1950: Les Horvath (Heisman, 1944); Vic Janowicz (Heisman, 1950)
1951-1960: Hopalong Cassady (Heisman, 1955; Maxwell, 1955); Jim Parker (Outland, 1956)
1961-1970: Robert Ferguson (Maxwell, 1961); Jim Stillwagon (Outland, 1970; Lombardi, 1970)
1971-1980: Archie Griffin (Heisman, 1974, 1975; Walter Camp, 1974, 1975; Maxwell, 1975); John Hicks (Outland, 1973, Lombardi, 1973)
1981-1990: Chris Spielman (Lombardi, 1987)
1991-2000: Eddie George (Heisman, 1995; Maxwell, 1995; Walter Camp, 1995); Orlando Pace (Lombardi, 1995, 1996; Outland, 1996)
2001-2010: Troy Smith (Heisman, 2006; Walter Camp, 2006); A.J. Hawk (Lombardi, 2005)
2011-2020: none

Joey Bosa should have won both the Outland and the Lombardi in 2014, and Ezekiel Elliott should have won the Heisman in 2014 (and would have, if the award had been voted on after the playoffs).

You mean over guy like Scooby Wright?

C'mon man. Don't be such a homer.

I remember that guy having 15 sacks, but I can't remember if he came back the next year and sucked or went pro and sucked. Reminds me of the DE from PSU that got 16 sacks in '15 and then ceased to exist after that.

Edit: Wait, how did Young win neither the Outland or Lombardi??

Lombardi was changed to a player of the year award and Burrow won it.

Note - I only did this for these 19 teams.

Note - No longer counting O'Brien's that went to Earl Campbell in '77, Billy Sims in '78 (It was basically a SWC award until 1980, Singletary won in '79 and '80, then in '81 it was changed to strictly a QB award)

Note - removed 2005 Heisman
