What the folks in AA are doing to LLLLoyd is just plain cruel. You'd think they'd be a little more merciful and just let the man move on to his next career. ESPN is running out of on-air jobs for lousy old ex-coaches - this time next year the only opening might be makeup artist for Lou Holtz and Mark May.

More importantly - look closely at that email that Maisel got... That's not a scUM fan... That's Trev Alberts doing his best Guy Incognito impression! Nebraska - National Champs?! With stupidity like that, it's easy to see how one could confuse an inconspicuous Alberts with your run of the mill crackhead scUM fan. That email and that logic just has Trev written all over it though.

Hey, tOSU shut scUM out in Ann Arbor in 1900 (scoreless tie).

But they were really good in 1903 and 1904, also, although you could say they 'doctored' their scores.

Here are actual scUM scores from 1904:

scUM 72, Physicians & Surgeons (Illinois) 0
scUM 72, American Medical (Illinois) 0

They also had impressive wins over Beloit, Albion, Drake, Ferris St, and Case Tech during those years. I know I'm impressed (but I didn't attend any of those games). :wink2:
Dude, Drake was the sh!t in 1904!

1904 Minnesota was better... Of course, they beat up some HS teams too.

Yes, clearly those pre-WWI years of UM dominance will really be a hurdle on the way to the 2006 NC...
:osu:
Hey now, those were glorious wins back when UM went 55-1-1 from 1901-1905. They shutout some quality opponents, like the Case Institute of Technology, Carlisle Indian School, Albion, Beloit, Oberlin, Ferris St., Kalamazoo, Physicians & Surgeons, American Medical, Drake ... :tongue2:

the ttun crew loves to tout the all time record of the rivalry. but the bottom line is that since 1950, the series is dead even.

since 1928, ttun has a whopping 2 game lead over 77 years.

if they need to boast about how much they dominated during the WWI era, it shows how little they have to cheer about.

Now don't bust on the Carlisle Indian school...HOFers Jim Thorpe and Joe Guyon played there...but of course that was well after Michigan stopped scheduling them.

Think IVoyd will try and schedule a home-and-home with Albion again?

And anyone not impressed with a 54-0 win over Carroll (WI) in 1916 just doesn't understand football

fyi, I've spent some time on michigan boards lately, and a lot of them have mentioned the "Nebraska will be champs" thing just like this email suggested.

let's see, wilson, pitcock, patterson, jenkins, mitchell. well I got 5 for him, and even those were a stretch, as they have started in a game before.
