Yes. Have played since 1994. Sadly.

My two greatest regrets:

#1. Allowing myself to be convinced by my girlfriend at the time in 1999 to sell all my Magic cards because we had a baby on the way. I had 40 Revised dual-lands, 4-each of all 10. To add insult to injury, not only did I sell all my cards, I didn't play at all for two years and completely missed the Urza's block, which was where all the money-cards wound up.

#2. Went to Origins back in 1993 and saw Magic demoed with Beta cards. Buddies and I thought about buying cards, until we were told each of us would need our own deck. We were like, "We EACH have to buy this game for $10 a pop? Screw that, what a rip-off!!"

Had beta print-run cards in my hand and didn't buy them. :smash:

Still have a group of cards from the Tempest block. I play with one friend about once a year when we get really bored. I've got 5 or so decks built that play well against each other.

Detoxing off of Cardboard crack is harder to kick then heroin.

I am in the same boat, just restarted 6 months ago after being in from 1993 - 1998, yes that mean I have been playing since Beta came out and yes I sold my cards in 1999 before I left for boot camp. I had a completye set of the power nine at the time, couple each of the duelies and everything you could imagine from the other sets... sold off the lot of nearly 10,000 cards to Star Collectibles in Mansfield for about $2500... kicker? They went under and the Lotus alone sells for $2000 now... fuck me running sideways and hard:2004:
