Why do people still play games on the pc anymore anyways? Thats so last decade.
Yeah, other than the console hardware always being so 5+ years ago... :roll2:

Consoles are easier and cheaper, but can't touch the visuals of pc gaming.

Do you actually sit in a chair in front of your computer playing video games? I guess if you have it hooked up to your HDTV I guess that cool but playing a video game on a computer monitor seems nerdy as hell bro.

If you don't understand the superiority of a PC (in performance and flexibilty) by now, then it can't be explained to you.

As opposed to gaming with a headset, web camera and the prepubescent smack talk on live. I miss the days of counter-strike smack talk limited to text. Much easier to ignore.
We come from different generations of gaming I suppose, we agree to disagree!!!
You're not disagreeing, you're simply deflecting to 'nerd smack' rather than addressing the topic at hand... drastic difference in visuals.

With less disposable income (vs college) and less hardcore gaming, I now opt for the simplicity and cheaper hardware of console gaming. But they'll never touch the accuracy, visuals and flexibility of a FPS.

On live you have to pay to download a small set of maps. On PC, there are infinite amounts of mods, both levels and gameplay, for the major games like CS.

RTS games are another drastic difference. The 360 simply does not have enough buttons and speed to keep up with the potential of a keyboard & mouse for games like Starcraft.

Wow relax!!!! We're all Buckeyes here LOL. To be honest all that I really play is EA's Madden and NCAA because all I think about is football. You could mix in the Grand Theft Auto's and maybe the Hit Man games. I also want to check out COD4 as I hear its very good. Friends again Winslow? LOL

Either that's sarcasm, or you have no idea what your talking about....

take your pick.

another edit.

Let me sit you down in front of my machine - and let you play Crysis @ 1900x1200.
Then we'll sit on your XboX 360 and play UT3.

After that, if you choose to go back to a console - you need to consider serious therapy.

It's cool, but on this board you've gotta bring it strong :)

Football is an extremely simple game, and I'd play that on a console any day. Recruiting changes the dedication a bit, but football is primarily a 'pick up and play instantly' type of game. Much different story when you get into intense, detailed games like Starcraft, CS/Rainbox6, etc.

COD4 is one of the few games with visuals more reminiscent of PC gaming, but still considerably behind. When the next console comes out in 4+ years, it may catch up to the bump mapping and smooth edges that were available about 4 years ago on PC.

You can do console gaming on a PC, with a 360 controller if you'd like. You can output it to an HDTV, or link up 30 LCD screens for ridiculous FPS or Flight Sim action. But you can't have 75 keystroke commands on a console or as swift of pinpoint accuracy for headshots like with a laser-guided mouse.

It's essentially the same thing. Why is one more nerdy than the other? I play my PC games on the same TV that I use for my 360, and sit in the same chair. Only difference is that I'm using a keyboard and mouse in one situation, and a controller in the other.

Geez drop it bro you got here late to the party!!! Its just more conveinant to have freinds over in my basement and have madden wars on my 60" TV than have everyone go into my computer room. Like I said its more of a generational thing. My gaming is more limited than you guys, I game more like the OSU players and NFL players.

Not really, both of us are in the same generation. Thats the the issue, its more of an exposure to different gameplay. I enjoy the experience from both a PC and a console.
Console is all about simplicity. You can turn it on and go - there are very few software and hardware issues that you have to deal with.

A PC, while far more complicated has much more conventional use. I can do anything with it beyond gaming - while you can't. While my games may have to install, there isnt one thing you can do on a console that I can't better on my computer.

How do you figure? I'm not here to debate - but you'd be surprised what games professional athletes and collegiate alike spend time on.

Well I know for a fact JL is a console guy :oh: But the nfl/college player argument I'll stand by because I see so many NFL and college player bios where they always mention PS3 and XBOX in their hobby lists. Boy you guys are worse than the liberals I argue w/ on campus. Its 100% your way or no way. lmao

I just turned 21, judging from your name I'd say we're in the same generation. :tongue2:

I was just curious why you thought it was more nerdy, I'm not trying to attack you or anything.
