The teaching moment here for me is that when you have a $50 million train wreck head coach hire, you fire the AD who made that mistake first, then let the new AD hire the next head coach.

Another lazy journalist story? Yes, Woodward was the Texas A&M athletic director who hired Bubba Fisher to come there. But he was not the AD who gave Bubba the huge extension that resulted in the record buyout. That honor (dishonor?) goes to his successor. Someone now pretty, pretty close to Ohio State athletics.

won't "officially" be President until January, but bet your ass he's going to be working already and all over this.
Woodward is probably a Lame Duck already. He probably already knows, but the public doesn't.

he HAS to be smiling from ear to ear hearing all the Scott Woodward slander flying around right now.
the entire country has completely forgotten that Bjork is the one who gave Jimbo a raise and an extension at A&M and is the reason that buyout was so high.
They're all still blaming Woodward and laying that one completely on him.

Well, there's your problem right there. Luckily, I believe there's a former University of Michigan university president who helped guide their football team to a national championship that might be interested in the position.
