JFC. DO NOT read the comments on that Tweet. Regardless of the situation, there are some really sick motherfuckers out there.
I haven't looked because I've learned a long time ago to avoid that (and I can take a guess the direction a lot of the comments take).
Kyren Lacy fucked up. He fucked up BAD!
He was driving like a complete moron and it cost another man his life.
and leaving the scene was pretty much the worst follow up choice he could have made.
But by all reports, he wasn't drinking (was on way to or from a workout at time of accident). And while the kid has definitely had some issues, none of them have ever been evil or violent.
So I really and truly don't think he had any intentions of hurting, let alone killing anyone.
Was he wrong? abso-fucking-lutely.
does that make him a complete low-life piece of shit murderer? no, I don't think so.
definitely doesn't mean he deserved to die.
and his death sure as shit doesn't make up for the death of the man who died in the accident.
people can not seem to look at both sides.
A man was killed in a car wreck. his family is destroyed forever now.
Kyren Lacy fucked up royally. And deserved whatever legal punishment was coming his way.
now Kyren Lacy is also dead. and his family is also now destroyed forever.
you can want "justice" for his actions, and still not want him dead.
saying RIP to Lacy does not mean you complete forgive and forget what happened. It means you're human and don't want to see another senseless death piled on top of an already terrible story.
Lacy dying doesn't make anything better.
It makes it worse.
