yes it is part of a library building.
but it’s a storage area in the basement. not part of the actual library area for students.

they’ve been fighting seepage from groundwater for decades now.
it’s why not a ton of structures down here even have basements.

Funny how LSU wanted to renovate the first floor of the library in 2017 which was met with all kinds of criticism. Seems they scrapped the plan and put the money into the athletic facility.
