LSU DB Kristian Fulton has two-year suspension upheld by NCAA
According to the New Orleans Times-Picayune, the NCAA has upheld what was a two-year suspension levied on LSU’s Kristian Fulton early on in 2017. The suspension, which already cost the defensive back the entire 2017 season, stemmed from his alleged tampering with a drug-test sample in the early months of 2017.
Fulton’s legal team had requested a reconsideration of the continuation of the suspension into 2018, which the NCAA heard Thursday afternoon. With the NCAA’s denial of said reconsideration, lawyers for Fulton “will attempt to file a waiver with the NCAA to still get Fulton on the field this year,” the Times-Picayune wrote.
If that fails, which seems likely, Fulton will miss the entire 2018 season as well.

Fulton, a five-star 2016 signee, played in three games as a true freshman. If the waiver appeal to the NCAA is denied, it would leave Fulton with one season of collegiate eligibility he could use in 2019. He could also make himself available for the 2019 NFL draft, regardless of the outcome of that appeal.

welp, here we are. the day before our season kicks off.
i’ll turn 40 during this season and for the life of me I cannot remember a season where i felt this unenthusiastic before it started.
not even goin into ‘99, which turned out to be the worst season in school history, did i feel like this.

SKULL SESSION: DWAYNE HASKINS AND JOE BURROW GET WINS, MICHIGAN AND TEXAS GET DUMPED AND MICHAEL THOMAS' SUBTWEET
JEAUX BURREAUX. As soon as I saw Joe Burrow chirping at some Hurricane players before the game, I knew it was a bad day to be a Miami backer.
Sure, Burrow didn't light the world on fire in his LSU debut. He went 11-for-24 for 140 yards and no touchdowns, but he managed the hell out of that game, doing everything he needed to do against a defense littered with future NFL talent to get the win.
Evidence:
The playcalling was understandably tight on Sunday night, but it like Burrow's got the trust of the coaching staff and the keys to the offense now, so maybe we'll see him air it out a little more in the coming weeks.
I think Joe is going to be just fine at LSU, and that debut was stellar. Now, he just has to figure out his new school.
It's going to be crazy watching LSU and Ohio State in a College Football Playoff Semifinal.

gonna need to see a few more games before forming any real opinions on this team.
Defense will be a typical LSU defense.
Kicking game appears to have improved drastically from last year.
Offense? remains to be seen.
first game with a new OC, new QB, new RBs, new WRs.
O-line did not impress me much. hopefully this is not a long term issue.
Burrow did not look like a savior, but definitely wasn’t bad. His completion % should have been higher than it was due to drops. Also don’t think he was asked to do to much. But i’m optimistic with this kid.
RBs. Happy for Nick Brossette. was a very highly regarded back coming out of high school. may even still hold some LA records even. Now he’s a senior that has patiently waited behind a stable of backs currently on NFL rosters (Fournette, Guice, Williams). To finally get his first TD last night put a smile on my face.
WRs. let’s not go there just yet.
