LSU Tigers (official thread)

Marvin Harrison Jr. is a great receiver, so I mean no disrespect by this, but Malik Nabers has better numbers across the board than he does this year.
Even those of us on this board who are most obsessed with numbers aren’t under the impression that numbers by themselves make an argument

Malik’s numbers are impressive, as are his quarterback’s. I would go as far as to say his quarterback’s numbers are so impressive that one would expect spectacular numbers from his receivers, regardless of their quality.

Don’t get me wrong. I think Malik is the clear 2nd best receiver in FBS right now. He’s great. But great numbers or not, he’s not Marv

have you seen the gauntlet of amazing defenses Penix and Nix have played?

neither of them has played a top 30 passing defense this year.
Daniels has played 4 with a 5th coming up this weekend.

and his numbers are better than both.
First, I have to say that I agree with you on Daniels

A PE of over 200 while playing in the SEC (even in a down year) is amazing

But we’re perilously close to the age old circular argument about conference strength

How bad are the PAC 12 pass defenses?

Probably not as bad as you think.

Every one of those defenses has played multiple NFL quality quarterbacks this year. No other conference can say that of their defenses.

How good are the PAC 12 quarterbacks?

Probably not as good as PAC 12 fans think. Yes, those PAC 12 defenses aren’t great. I didn’t say they were.

Same goes for B1G defenses

How good are the top B1G defenses?

Really good, but not as good as some B1G fans think.

How bad are B1G offenses?

Pretty bad, but not as bad as some people think
