LSU 28, Florida 24 (final)

But, I thought a FL win would place them too high in the polls, giving us a worse chance to go to the NC game. No?

Just makin sure I'm rooting for the right team. Although with FL playing, there's only one right team.

well Florida already has a loss. OSU would jump LSU in the polls and I doubt Florida would be able to jump the Bucks. So OSU would be sitting pretty at #3 (with Cal and USC still having to square off).

I believe the thinking was this... If Florida wins that gives both teams one loss... if both teams still have one loss going into the SEC championship game, the winner of what would likely be a 3 and 4 ranked SEC game may just jump over an undefeated 2 big ten team due in large part to our percieved weak schedule and last years results.

so the best case scenario assuming we cant find another team to beat these two is that LSU wins now, and florida comes back and beats them in the SECCG... that way they dont have time to recover from the late season loss and a 2 loss florida team wont be able to jump us.

That's a good scenario for us, all we have to do is have it happen.:oh:
