A book, "Breaking Cardinal Rules: Basketball and the Escort Queen," published this month by self-described former escort Katina Powell, 42, details nearly two dozen stripping and sex parties from 2010 to 2014 inside Billy Minardi Hall, the on-campus dorm for athletes and other students named for Louisville men's basketball head coach Rick Pitino's late brother-in-law. Powell, who first spoke to Indianapolis Business Journal Book Publishing, has said that McGee arranged the parties and paid her $10,000 for supplying dancers during the time period.

He started laying the groundwork for the "I didn't know because I have a great system in place for plausible deniability" from the first press conference after the news broke.

I don't think coaches know when a guy goes down to the bar and does something stupid but when there is a systematic and recurring event taking place they know (and yes that applies to any current or former OSU coaches). It's why I don't buy for one fucking second that Paterno didn't know Sandusky was a pedophile and why I was laughing watching slick Rick espouse his disbelief and ignorance on national t.v.

Yeah - anyone who has watched or read any type of crime novel or Mafia type show knows you never write anything down, you insulate yourself by several layers from the "action" and you sure as hell don't partake yourself (which he was caught doing in the past)....

The other thing - the GA was rolling round with $10,000 (and probably more had he needed it)...sure boosters and all that jazz were likely involved, but again, there is just no way in hell a megalomaniac like Pitino didn't know this was going on. And he's convinced that rube of an AD they have down there, so the "investigation" ( :lol: ) won't focus on him at all, at least at first.

The best part is his son "doesn't know anything" and he lived there. I actually laughed about it.

He threw in a quick small print legal disclaimer during his presser too if you caught it. The fall guy/bag man wasn't technically a coach or some such thing. It seemed very out of place in the middle of his dumbfounded act.
